Autumn in August

It’s ridiculous. It’s August and I am wearing my favourite autumn/winter sweater. And tights. I’ll say it again: it’s August.
The shitty weather of the last days made me longing for autumn somehow. Comfy sweaters, blankets, tea and cuddling on the couch. Wonderful. I’d love to go autumn shopping at Maingold here in Würzbug but unfortunately it’s the end of the month and we all know what that means. I’ll have to wait for a few more days, I guess. Walking past their window every once in a while makes me sad because they have the prettiest clothes. Well, we’ll see.
The Main river is one of my favourite places to shoot for the blog. The atmosphere is just amazing. You’ll have to see it for yourself to know.

Es ist lächerlich. Wir haben August und ich trage meinen liebsten Herbstpulli. Und Strumpfhosen. Im August. Du ahnst es nicht.
Das bescheuerte Wetter der letzten Tage hat mir so Lust auf Herbst gemacht. Bequeme Pullis, Decken, Tee und Kuscheln auf der Couch. So schön. Ich würde gerne Herbst Klamotten shoppen, am liebsten bei Maingold, aber mir fehlt aktuell leider das Geld. Ende des Monats halt, ihr kennt das ja. Das Schaufenster macht mich immer traurig, wenn ich dran vorbeigehe. Die schönsten Klamotten, echt.
Am Main mache ich am liebsten Fotos. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach großartig. Muss man gesehen haben, um zu wissen, was ich meine.

All black

Sometimes you need no colour.
I’m having an insane phase where I try to layer all my favourite necklaces and that’s what happens when I do. Also I’m having a phase where I want to wear as many little ankle bracelets as I can.

I have to say that this is one of my most worn outfits at the moment. It is really comfortable and I just feel good in it.

Perfectly Happy

“Wunschlos Glücklich“, that’s the name of my favourite cafe in Würzburg. In English it’s something like “perfectly happy” and that’s what you are in there. This is definitely the most beautiful place in the whole city, in a little curtilage with vintage style furniture and homemade food and drinks. They have a lot of vegan things to offer and it all tastes just amazing.

“Wunschlos Glücklich”, so heißt mein liebstes Lieblingscafé in Würzburg und genau so fühlt man sich da. Das WG ist mit Abstand das schönste Café der Stadt. Mit dem Innenhof, den Vintage Möbeln und hausgemachten Leckereien. Es gibt sehr viel Veganes und alles schmeckt einfach wunderbar. Ich liebe diesen Laden.

Fortress Friends

This week two friends from home came to visit us in Würzburg which was simply amazing. We ate (a lot!), strolled around the city and went up all the stairs to Marienberg Fortress. The view from up there is incredible. It’s easily one of my favourite places in Würzburg. You can imagine how it was back when dukes and duchesses lived up there. We were lucky with the weather: shorts and t-shirt without freezing!
The first picture above is actually one of my most loved ones with the boy. Can’t tell you what it is that makes this one so special. It just reflects us pretty well, I’d say.

Diese Woche kamen Freunde aus dem Westerwald zu Besuch und es war einfach wundervoll. Viel gegessen, durch die Stadt gewandert und tatsächlich die gefühlt eine Million Stufen hoch zur Festung Marienberg marschiert! Die Aussicht von da oben ist der absolute Wahnsinn. Auf jeden Fall einer meiner Lieblingsplätze in Würzburg. Man kann sich einfach total vorstellen wie es früher war als noch Grafen und Gräfinnen da gewohnt haben. Außerdem hatten wir riesiges Glück mit dem Wetter: Shorts und T-Shirt ohne zu erfrieren, und zwar problemlos!
Ich liebe dieses Foto vom Freund und mir. Definitiv eins meiner all time favourites. Keine Ahnung, warum. Es beschreibt uns irgendwie total gut.
Danke, dass ihr da ward, ihr Lieben, und die letzten Tage so schön gemacht haben!

Busy Times

Hello everyone! I know, it’s been forever. My life has been ridiculously busy the last few weeks and there was just no time to take photos or anything. I had my head filled with other stuff that required a lot of my attention.
I hope you guys forgive me!

My boy shot these ones today in a free minute when it was nice and sunny. The blouse is ZARA and I love the slightly transparent back because it displays my tattoos quite nicely. I love summer because I can show everyone my inked skin which is something I really like because I love and am proud of every single one.
I have plenty ideas for new ones but it’s a bit difficult to time with my work as you probably can imagine.

Stripes

It’s so hot here. Almost 30°C! I found this lovely maxi dress by ONLY by accident in a shopping window and just couldn’t resist. Stripes are always a good idea if you ask me and I just love the way it’s cut.

There’s nothing better than (vegan) ice cream in this weather, am I right? Blueberry has become my favourite flavour! If you haven’t tried this you most definitely should. X

Easy Saturday

So I’m home in the Westerwald at my parents’ place and it’s just a usual Saturday. Musical rehearsal and chilling. I’m wearing my favourite comfy pieces (again): Vila sweater, Billabong shorts and, of course, Vans. Sensing a pattern here? Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy Easter with your families. X

off the wall

I love Vans. I think they’re the coolest, most comfortable shoes and I could walk around in them forever. Also I love cats. No, that is not entirely correct. I am absolutely CRAZY about cats. I’ll probably end up like the crazy cat lady of The Simpsons one day. Completely mad but owner of about a million cats.

So when I was randomly browsing the Vans website to check if there are any new nice things, I found them. Vans with cats on them. I’ll say that again. VANS WITH CATS ON THEM! A.k.a. the most perfect shoes in the entire world! How couldn’t I have bought them? How? No way. These shoes belong on my feet and I swear, I will never take them off. Also they’re for a good cause being inspired by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty on Animals. So how couldn’t you love them?

That nice shirt was there, too, and I just fell in love with it. It’s so cool and easy and I just really liked it.

So what about you? Are you as crazy about cats and Vans as I am? X

What’s in my bag?

Oh, I’ve always loved these posts so much (these ones and tattoo themes ones) that I just had to make this my second post. Am I the only one who just finds “What’s in my bag?” posts so wonderfully inspiring and entertaining? I hope you’ll enjoy mine just as much as I enjoy all the others!

Calendar and Notebook: Even though I’m quite a fan of being able to handle everything via iPhone I think it’s important to keep a real paper diary and notebook. I note my shifts in the calendar and workout plans and blog ideas in the notebook. Plus they’re super, super pretty, aren’t they? The diary is by frankie magazine and the notebook ist just some nice one I found in Hugendubel, a huge German book shop chain.

iPhone and headphones: What should I say. I pretty much live on this phone. Really, it’s my second heart and brain and I would be completely LOST without it. The headphones aren’t even so much in use but I like to know that I always have them with me, just in case I need them for anything.

Glasses: It’s ridiculous how blind I feel without them even though my eyes actually aren’t that bad. But it seems like I’m very sensitive when it comes to eyesight and it’s like with umbrellas. When I don’t carry it around you can bet that I would have needed them. So they’re a really essential. These ones are by Maredo.

Tangle Teezer: Germany’s a windy place. So I like carrying this little beauty around to detangle my hair whenever necessary. I love the Union Jack print because I’m just such an anglophile person but I’m afraid it was limited edition if you’re considering to buy it. It’s a great little tool, though. My hair feels so amazingly soft after I brushed it with this thing!

Sunglasses: I have a weird face. It’s really small and pretty much all the sunglasses of the world are way too big for it. Except Ray Ban Clubmasters. These fit my face perfectly and I love the look of them and how they match almost every style of mine.

Purse: Clearly I alway carry this one around. It’s the Leonie by Liebeskind Berlin in turquoise and I love how big it is! I have a lot of stuff in there, trust me. It’s funny that I took the turquoise one since I’m not a very colourful person. I prefer grey, black, white, maybe some nice prints but this was an impulsive love-at-first-sight-buy. And I don’t regret it because it’s a nice tough of soft colour.

Keys: What’s missing is my car key. I took it off because the boy needed it and without it the whole bunch of keys is just way lighter. The key chains are from the Sherlock Holmes Museum in London (which is AMAZING! Go there if you’re a Holmes fan!), a ballet point shoe by BLOCH and half a heart of which the boy has the other half. Well, I’m a hopeless romantic. Can you blame me?
